About Me And How I Work
This page will tell you more about my background and training but
the truth is that my own healing process, including my own therapy, has had more influence on my work as a therapist than any training. I have been called upon in my life to meet significant challenges, including childhood traumas and physical health problems. My own journey has shown me over and over that I can trust my own process, if I am connected to myself and willing to take the next step that unfolds from within. Because I have this trust in myself, I can also have it with and for my clients.
Without your wounds where would your power be? The very angels themselves cannot persuade the wretched and blundering children on earth as can one human being broken in the wheels of living. In love's service, only the wounded soldiers can serve.
~Thornton Wilder~
I can tell you that I am flexible, compassionate and intuitive and I find my work very enjoyable and rewarding. I see each person as a unique individual and enter into the process with a warm curiosity about each person and how I might be able to help. I believe that the best guidance and direction for each individual's life path comes from within that person. My role can best be described as witness, catalyst, and facilitator as I support my clients in finding their own way.
If you are looking for a therapist, what you mainly need to know about me, is whether or not we are a good fit to work together. We may not know that until we actually meet together, but it can help to spend 15 to 20 minutes on the phone together, at no charge, before scheduling an initial appointment.
